Despite hopes that he would recover in time for the new season, AS have reported that he will not be available until the end of 2024.

The typical recovery time for an ACL injury is seven to nine months, but the additional meniscus tear means he will need another two to three months to recover.
Even after his knee heals, Gavi will need a further month to get back in shape for football.
The best-case scenario is for the 19-year-old to resume playing in December, but a more likely outcome is that he will return to action in January 2025.
