Vitor Roque's future at Barcelona remains uncertain as the summer transfer window nears its end. The young Brazilian forward, who joined the Catalan giants from Athletico Paranaense in January, finds himself in a precarious position, with his status at the club still unresolved.

Roque’s uncertain future at Barcelona

Vitor Roque has yet to make his mark at Barcelona since his arrival earlier this year, and despite his promising talent, the 19-year-old has not been registered with La Liga for the 2024-25 season, raising doubts about his place in Hansi Flick’s squad.

Barcelona, however, has made it clear that they have no intention of selling Roque, but are instead willing to explore a potential loan move within La Liga to ensure his development.

The uncertainty surrounding Roque’s future has been a source of frustration for the player and the club, with the transfer window closing soon.

Barcelona will need to make a decision quickly on whether Roque will stay and fight for his place or gain valuable experience elsewhere in Spain.

As if the situation wasn’t complicated enough, Roque’s recent struggles with illness have made things more difficult for the forward.

The Brazilian youngster has been sent home from training for two consecutive days due to a persistent fever, according to reports from MD. This illness could see him miss the upcoming Joan Gamper Trophy match on Monday against AS Monaco, further limiting his chances to impress the coaching staff and secure a spot in the team.

Roque’s first seven months at Barcelona have been anything but smooth, with a lack of playing time and now health issues hindering his progress. Nevertheless, he remains hopeful for a turnaround in his fortunes, whether that be by establishing himself at Barcelona or by gaining valuable experience on loan with another La Liga side.
