Patrik Schick continues to etch his name in European Championship history. Fresh from winning Goal of the Tournament three years ago, the Bayer Leverkusen forward has claimed another remarkable achievement at EURO 2024.

Schick surpasses Ronaldo and Kane

Schick drew the Czech Republic level against Georgia in the second half of Saturday’s Group F 1-1 draw, scoring a crucial goal that not only secured a point for his team but also saw him surpass country legend Milan Baros as his country’s all-time top scorer at the European Championship, with six goals to his name.

Schick’s goal against Georgia added another feather to his cap as he eclipsed both Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane for the highest number of goals scored in the tournament’s last two editions with his sixth strike in seven European Championship matches.

Schick secures more Euros history

Schick has also achieved another impressive milestone by boasting the second-best goals-to-game ratio in the history of the European Championship, with 0.88 goals per game in the competition.

This remarkable statistic places him just behind French legend Michel Platini, who set the record at EURO 1984, with 1.8 goals per game, with nine goals in five matches.

Schick will be hoping to repeat his 2021 heroics for Czech Republic, where his five goals helped the country reach the quarterfinal of the competition before losing to Denmark.
