Ugandan top reggae dancehall star Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool doesn't only bellow out bangers but is also a keen follower of Ugandan football.
Bebe is a sworn fan of English premiership side Arsenal and a father to Alpha Ssali, a forward currently with the Uganda Hippos, now competing at the U20Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Following the team's qualification to the quarter-finals, Bebcool shared his hearty congratulatory message to the team through his official Twitter account. He also encouraged Alpha, who is yet to make an appearance, to be strong.
"Congratulations Hippos on qualifying for the Quarter Finals in the AFCON U-20", he noted.
"Hard luck, my son Alpha Thierry; your time will come. Thank Allah, among the many talents in Uganda, you are chosen to represent your country."
"So keep your head high, and keep working hard because there is always a light at the end of the tunnel."
Alpha is making his second appearance at the AFCON U-20, having been part of the 2021 edition, which saw Morley Byekwaso's side reach the final but lost to eventual winners Ghana.
The pacey forward has only featured for Proline FC at the club level, having played through all the age categories since he joined at age four.
The Hippos will face Nigeria in the quarter-finals, where victory will guarantee a semi-final berth and seal qualification for the FIFA U20 World Cup.
If achieved, the Hippos will be the first Uganda national football team ever to qualify for a world cup.
