Gor Mahia supporters have expressed their solidarity with striker Benson Omala after his bumper loan deal to Algerian club JS Saoura collapsed in the last minute early this week
Gor Mahia fans have moved with speed to show their support for striker Benson Omala following his failed transfer to Algerian club JS Saoura.
Omala was close to finalising a six-month loan deal to the North African club, which would have earned Gor Mahia Ksh3.2 million and him a monthly salary of Ksh1.3 million, but the move broke down early in the week after the documents were reportedly submitted late.

FOOTBALL Benson Omala: Five ways Gor Mahia can get their talisman happy and firing again after aborted Algeria move
Gor Mahia striker Benson Omala is still coming to terms with his failed transfer to Algerian club JS Saoura but how do K’Ogalo get him happy and scoring again?
That left the player disappointed and as the blame game continues between his representatives and Gor Mahia, the club supporters have sought to get him happy and firing again by showing him their full support.
This was on show at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday when Gor Mahia fans, calling themselves ‘Green Ultras,’ displayed banners and a plague bearing the striker’s portrait and messages of support.
“We fully support you our top scorer. Ipo siku (your day will come),” read the message from the plague which was later presented to Omala after the match.
Club patron and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was among the prominent figures who held the plague and even signed it in what was a great show of support for the young striker.
Omala is Gor Mahia and the league’s leading scorer after bagging nine goals so far this season but has not found the back of the net in the last seven games.
He started on the bench in Saturday’s match, which ended in a goalless draw against Ulinzi Stars, but there is hope that he will put the disappointment behind him and get back to his brilliant best to help Gor Mahia push for the FKF Premier League title.
