Ulinzi Stars head coach Bernard Mwalala has quashed talk of leaving the club after reports emerged that he was set to quit his job at the end of their FKF Cup semi-final clash against Tusker on Saturday.
Stars lost 1-0 courtesy of a last minute header by Eric Otieno to crush their dreams of delivering a piece of silverware and qualification to the CAF Confederations Cup.
Mwalala had reportedly told his players on Friday morning that he was set to depart the club citing unfavorable working conditions. He has however, quashed those rumors claiming he is “fully committed” to Ulinzi Stars.
“I have only seen that thing swirling all over the papers and the internet,” he said, “ I saw it coming from ‘a source’. Make it what you will, but it is nothing but rumors,” he added.
