Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returns to coaching after accepting to join Besiktas.
Turkish giants Besiktas have announced the signing of former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new head coach.
The Norwegian tactician has been out of the job since he was fired by the Red Devils in 2021. He turned down many opportunities to return to management but has now signed for Turkish giants Besiktas.

The details
Besiktas announced today that they have reached an agreement with Solskjaer to join as their new head coach for the next one-and-a-half years.
The Black Eagles have struggled this season. They currently lie 6th on the log with 30 points. Their poor form promoted the sacking of erstwhile manager Giovanni Van Bronckhorst last November, and they have been without a permanent manager since.

They announced Ole today, and in his first press conference, he said, “I'm delighted. It's great to have so many people here for this great club. I've had the first conversations with the board. I'm looking forward to starting. It's great to be in this great city.”
Ole worked as a technical match analyst for UEFA in the period he lay fallow. Besiktas will hope he can get them back to competing on equal footing with their Istanbul rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
