Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has opened up on the emotional Champions League final in Wembley.

LaLiga giants Real Madrid won 2-0 against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley thanks to second-half goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior to secure their 15th European Cup.

Bellingham had an underwhelming game but still came up with the assist for Vinicius' late goal, and speaking to TNT Sports post-match, he admitted this was an extremely emotional moment in his career.

"I've always dreamed of playing in these games," Bellingham said.

"You go through life and there's so many people who say they can't do things, but days like today remind you why [you keep going]. It gets a bit hard at times and you wonder if it's worth it, but nights like tonight make you realize.

"I was alright until I saw my mum and dad's face there! There've been nights where they could be home by seven o'clock and they're doing trips at 11 or midnight to take me to football. And my little brother's there who I'm meant to be a role model for. I can't put it into words, the best night of my life."

Bellingham is one of the contenders for the prestigious Ballon d'Or but is likely to fall behind teammate Vinicius Junior.
