Chelsea fans have expressed their regret at missing out on Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen after his goalscoring cameo against Benin Republic.
Victor Osimhen came off the bench to help the Super Eagles of Nigeria seal a 3-0 win over Benin Republic in Uyo.
The 25-year-old started on the bench, due to his lack of optimal match fitness, and Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface was tasked with leading the line.
Osimhen was introduced in the 72nd minute for the ineffective Boniface and quickly reminded fans around the world about his undeniable talent.
After Lookman opened the scoring in the first half, the game remained on a knife edge until Osimhen met a fine cross from Wilfred Ndidi, and produced a stunning half-volley, that gave the Benin keeper no chance.
