SC Villa's new signing Denis Ojara risks sitting out up to nine months after sustaining a nasty knee injury on August 10 against Maroons FC in the FUFA Super 8 clash.
According to SC Villa, Ojara suffered a complete tear of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament and will need surgery.
"Forward DENIS OJARA suffered a Complete tear of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament(ACL)[Grade 3] during our fixture at Home against Maroons in the FUFA Super 8," SC Villa posted on Twitter.
"Surgery will be required for him to return to Action. Get well soon, OJ!"
Medical online publication John Hopkins Medicine states that the rehabilitation process for such injuries is usually very long.
"Grade 3 ACL tears happen when the ACL is torn completely in half and is no longer providing any stability to the knee joint," John Hopkins Medicine states.
"The rehabilitation that follows is a long process that takes about a year or more for most people."
