Highly rated Kenyan defender has caused a buzz in the Bullets camp, charming the hard to please Pasuwa.
Nyasa Big Bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa has waxed lyrical about Kenya international defender Clyde Senaji.
Senaji, who is on trial at the Malawi Super League champions, enjoyed a full 90-minute appearance in Bullets pre-season friendly against archrivals Mighty Wanderers on Saturday.
Paired with center-back Frank Willard, the youngster put up a strong performance that saw him silence striker Chiukepo Msowoya.
Speaking on the performance of the Kenyan, Pasuwa was full of praise, describing him as a modern type of player.
“He is a very composed player at the back, and also, we have been lacking a defender who can defend the ball behind and a lateral ball from the sides.
He has done exceptionally well because he was well composed of the buildup, confident with the ball, and could do anything by splitting the lines into the following lines of attack. We hope for the best as we continue monitoring him,” said Pasuwa.
Senaji will learn his fate at Nyasa Big Bullets in the coming days following the long assessment.
The 26-year-old became a free agent after he was released by Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions Tusker in January.
He left the Brewers after only 15 months with the club, having joined from AFC Leopards in September 2021.
Senaji featured for Tusker in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup matches and was part of the squad that clinched the 2021/22 title season.
Nyasa Big Bullets will now look to wrap up the pre-season friendlies with a test against the Mozambican champions UD Songo on Sunday afternoon.
