Kenya international Elizabeth Khisa joins a Tanzanian team amid a surge in cross-border women's football transfers in East Africa.

Kenya international Elizabeth Khisa has officially signed with Tanzanian Women Premier League side Bunda Queens.

This transfer follows a series of high-profile moves of Kenyan players to Tanzanian clubs, signaling a new era of cross-border talent exchange in the region.

Khisa, known for her prolific scoring ability, recently departed FKF Women's Premier League side Gaspo Women FC after a brief stint with the team.

Her journey to Tanzania began when she left Zetech Sparks to join Gaspo.

However, her stay with Gaspo was short-lived, as she seized the opportunity to further her career in Tanzania.

Khisa is not the only Kenyan talent to make the move to Tanzania. Janet Moraa Bundi recently completed a high-profile transfer to Yanga Princess, adding to the growing list of Kenyan players making their mark in the Tanzanian league.

Additionally, Harambee Starlets winger Elizabeth Wambui has recently joined Simba Queens, leaving Gaspo Women in search of new players.

Bunda Queens, a team based in the Mar Region of Tanzania, has been making significant strides in women's football.

They recently inked a lucrative two-year sponsorship deal with Ya Elbesh Care Co. Limited in Mwanza, which is expected to bolster the team's prospects and help them achieve their ambitious goals.

The Tanzanian Women's Premier League is set to resume in January after a break, and Bunda Queens are clearly gearing up for an exciting season ahead.

With the addition of Khisa's firepower to their ranks, they aim to be strong contenders for the league title.

Meanwhile, another Tanzanian team, Fountain Gate Princesses, is also making moves in the transfer market.

The team is actively looking to recruit five players who can add value to their squad as they set their sights on a successful 2023/2024 season.

Fountain Gate Princesses' head coach, Juma Masoud, has specified the need for improvements in defense, midfield, and attacking force to strengthen the team's overall performance.

Mbuzi, the co-ordinator for Fountain Gate Princesses, emphasized that they will not release any players unless there is a formal offer submitted or an agreement reached with an interested team.
