Shikanda has scored nine FKF-PL goals for Kariobangi Sharks this season.

Kariobangi Sharks have been dealt a huge blow as striker Moses Shikanda has been ruled out for the season with a nasty injury.

Shikanda, who has been on stellar form this season scoring nine FKF-PL goals, suffered an injury in training and will now have to recuperate during the close season in an effort to get back to full fitness and build on from his debut season in the top flight.

The forward signed for Kariobangi Sharks from FKF division one side Green Commandos FC in October 2022 and has gone on to live up to the expectations so far, having been expected to replace Felix Oluoch and Eric Mmata who both left to join Tusker and Bandari FC respectively.

Shikanda launched his football career with Commandos in 2019 after completing his high school.

He has developed a habit of reporting to training earlier than anyone, where he works on his finishing skills as well as doing more gym work.

The 22-year-old was eyeing a national U23 team call-up or a chance to be part of Engin Firat’s senior set up in future.

KariobangI Sharks will face Bandari on June 21before completing the season with a meeting against AFC Leopards three days later. They sit 10th on the table with 41 points.
