Injuries had sidelined the stars from previous games, and should they pass fitness tests, they could start against Sevilla.

Manchester United have received a timely injury boost with key players returning to training ahead of the Sevilla showdown.

The Red Devils are set to take on the Spanish side in the return leg of the Europa League quarter-final game on Thursday.

Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Marcel Sabitzer, and Tyrell Malacia took part in a training session at Carrington on Wednesday morning, in what is seen as a boost for manager Erik ten Hag.

Rashford suffered an injury during United’s 2-0 win over Everton and has missed the last two games.

On the other hand, Shaw missed the Everton match after he was withdrawn in the first half of a Premier League clash against Brentford.

Marcel Sabitzer, who suffered a knock just minutes before kick-off in last Sunday’s meeting with Nottingham Forest, has also returned to training. The Austrian scored two goals against Sevilla, and his return could see him reclaim a starting spot for Thursday’s decisive clash.

Sabitzer had been selected to face Nottingham Forest but had to be replaced by Christian Eriksen in the warm-up.

Malacia missed the away win at Nottingham Forest and has also started training as the injury crisis starts to ease at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag will confirm his traveling squad to Seville on Wednesday afternoon, and it is not clear whether any of the returning players will be involved then.

Given that last week's first leg finished in a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, the return leg is now on a knife-edge.
