Gyokeres: Most Wanted
The 26-year-old striker has been one of the most in-form forwards in Europe this season. He has scored 24 goals in 21 games in all competitions, following a season in which he scored 50.
Hence, with the dearth of quality in the striker market, it is no surprise that the Sweden international has been linked with every club in need of a striker, including Manchester United, even before Ruben Amorim, Sporting's former coach, switched to Old Trafford.
One such club is Paris Saint-Germain, who are in the market for a striker, with Goncalo Ramos injured and Randal Kolo Muani out of favour.
Enrique blocks Gyokeres route
However, a report from Foot Mercato today claims that the French champions will not partake in the race for Gyokeres signing, as he is not fancied by Enrique.
Per the report, the Spanish tactician told Luis Campos, the sporting director, that if Gyokeres was signed, like Kolo Muani, he would not get minutes.
Meanwhile, PSG were actively in the race for Victor Osimhen last summer but were put off by the Nigerian's transfer fee. With the release clause nearly halved, Les Parisiens could make a return for him, with their attention away from the other hot striker on the market, Gyokeres.
