Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford believes his team deserves a result from the game against Wolves.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank bemoaned his team's luck in their defeat to Wolves, saying they had better chances and could have won the game.

Wolves beat Brentford 2-0 at the Molineux as they moved closer to safety, impeding Brentford's charge towards finishing in European places.

Despite being against a lacklustre Chelsea, Wolves were off the back of a morale-boosting victory against one of the top teams in the league when they hosted Brentford today.

Diego Costa grabbed his first goal for Wolves since signing for them in the 27th minute to give the hosts the lead, sending Molineux wild.

Despite Brentford's best efforts to pull the game level, the second and final goal in the game belonged to their hosts. Hwang Hee-Chan finished brilliantly, doubling his side's lead and sealing a 2-0 victory for Julian Lopetegui's side.

What Thomas Frank said

The Dane disagreed with the result on the day, believing his team's performance was worthy of much more than a 2-0 defeat.

He thought the game was equal, even believing his team had the better chances, but let themselves down in crucial moments.

Frank thought his team were deserving of at least a point, drawing similarities with their loss against Newcastle, where he also thought they played well and were unlucky to have lost.

"It could have gone either way. It was completely even. I actually think we had better chances," he said, per the BBC.

"They had two crucial moments which went their way.

"We should have got at least one point, if not three, against Newcastle. Today we played very well again. This is the Premier League. Maybe we’re just having a tiny blip in results, but not in performances."

Brentford are currently on a run of five games without a win, and they host high-flying Aston Villa at the Brentford Community Stadium in their next game in the Premier League.
