Personal terms almost agreed with Raya

Tottenham has agreed personal terms with David Raya ahead of his proposed move to North London side Spurs.

According to transfer Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, “Raya is now close to agreeing personal terms with Tottenham. Tottenham are now on the verge of reaching an agreement with David Raya on personal terms.”

"Long-term contract almost agreed after positive talks. Raya is open to Spurs move but club-to-club talks will be crucial. £40m fee asked by Brentford, considered too high."

Ahead of his proposed transfer, negotiations are still going on with both clubs as they look to agree on a fee for the goalkeeper.

Thomas Frank insists on Raya’s value

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has spoken about the possibility of Raya leaving the club and also insisting on his transfer value.

Speaking about Raya’s transfer which was reported by London Football, Thomas Frank “I think we only have one player for sale. That’s the one that’s been talked about a lot: David. He will cost £40 million, I think.

“We are a selling club — I don’t think that’s a secret. But they need to be crazy high amounts for the players if we want to have anyone leave. I’m pretty sure that everyone, including myself, is very happy here at Brentford.”

Thomas Frank will be looking to replace his number-one goalkeeper if he eventually leaves for Tottenham.
