Brighton are reportedly preparing a club-record £40m bid to sign centre-back Levi Colwill from Chelsea this summer.
Levi Colwill spent the entirety of last season on loan at Brighton where he established himself as one of the most highly-regarded young defenders in Europe.
Brighton want Chelsea's Colwill
The Seagulls are now willing to make a bid in excess of £40 million to sign Colwill permanently from Chelsea following the expiration of his loan agreement.
90min have reported that Brighton will push to bring him back on a permanent basis and have told Chelsea they'd be willing to consider offering midfielder Moises Caicedo in part-exchange for Colwill.
Despite the Seagulls' strong interest in Colwill, Chelsea are not currently minded to sell the 20-year-old and are keen to see how he performs in pre-season before making a decision.
