The two were initially listed in respective categories before trimming the nomination lists.
Ikwaput had been nominated for the Women's Player of the Year award, but she has been excluded with the list now down to ten.

The final five include the Nigerian duo of Deborah Abiodun and Esther Ajakaye, South African Thubelihle Shamase, Ghanaian Comfort Yeboah and Morocco's Nesryne El Chad.
Meanwhile, Najjemba and Ikwaput have had excellent years of their own with their clubs, Dynamo Moscow and Kampala Queens FC, respectively, as well as the Crested Cranes.
