With Aucho playing 90 minutes, Pacome ZouZoua scored to help Young Africans salvage a point off the Ghanaians to move to just two points out of a possible nine.

The result stayed second with four points, while Al Ahly and CR Belouizdad, who drew 0-0, are top and third with five and four points, respectively.

On the other hand, former Uganda Cranes captain Dennis Onyango was on the bench as Mamelodi Sundowns and Egypt's Pyramids FC played out a barren stalemate at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria.

Despite the draw, Sundowns still top Group A proceedings with four points and a superior goal difference, as the chasing pack have all tallied the same number.

This was after DRC's TP Mazembe and Mauritania's Nouadhibou drew 0-0 in a Saturday showdown.

Elsewhere, Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Morocco's Wydad Casablanca, while Ivory Coast's Asec Mimosas beat Jwaneng Galaxy 2-0 in Group B.

After three games, Asec Mimosas tops proceedings with seven points, while Jwaneng Galaxy, Wydad, and Simba follow with four, three, and two points, respectively.

Meanwhile, Group C had Angola's Petro Atletico draw 0-0 with Tunisia's Esperance Tunis, while Etoile de Sahel beat Al Hilal Omdurman 1-0.

Petro Atletico is at the top with seven points, while Esperance comes second with four. Etoile and Al Hilal follow closely with three points apiece in third and fourth, respectively.
