CAF will announce the hosts for the two before September this year. Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria/Benin and Zambia bid to host the 2025 edition. The 2027 host could come from the four who are currently being inspected.

The CAF executive committee has officially invited bids from countries that intend to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

According to CAF, several countries have already expressed their interest in hosting the continental showpiece.

“A decision was also taken by CAF to open the bid for hosting the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 because of the requests by numerous CAF Member Associations and their Governments to host the AFCON competition,” a statement from CAF reads.

The recent developments mean the bids for the 2027 finals will run concurrently with the ongoing process to select the hosts for the 2025 edition.
