Delta Queens will be the third club from Nigeria in the CAF Women Champions League
Delta Queens of Asaba, representing Nigeria in this year's CAF Women's Champions League WAFU B playoff, has arrived in Benin City, Edo State, with a pledge to uphold.
The Asaba-based team, which is in Group A, will play USFA Burkina Faso at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on August 18. Atletico D'Abidjan and Sam Nelly FC of the Benin Republic are the other teams in the group.
After one of the teams withdrew from the competition, Group B now has three contenders. Ampem Darkoa of Ghana, AS Garde FC of the Niger Republic, and Friends of the World FC from Togo are the teams in the group.
Arriving Benin city, Some Players and officials of Delta Queens, who spoke with The Guardian, promised to do everything possible to get the ticket.

Bayelsa Queens will face Delta Queens in the final of the NWFL Premiership Super six on Sunday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
One of the playes made an appeal to all football enthusiasts in Benin City to back Delta Queens in their bid to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.
“We have worked so hard for this competition, and I am sure we will get the ticket,” she said.
The Chairman of Delta Sports Commission, Tonobok Okowa, Said, “Every team in this competition have the ambition of picking the ticket. So, my advice to players and officials of Delta Queens is to remain focused and ensure they win all their matches. I wish them the best of luck."

After 11 years, Delta Queens reclaimed the NWFL Premiership title with an unbeaten record.
The WAFU B is slated for August 18 to September 1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
