Ahead of Cameroon's crucial second group game encounter against Serbia, Onana has reportedly been asked to leave the squad after a disagreement with the head coach

The bad news keeps on coming for the Indomitable Lions, as preparations for their crunch Group G tie against Serbia have been thrown into chaos with news their No.1 goalkeeper, Inter Milan's Andrre Onana will be leaving the squad after a tense disagreement with head coach Rigobert Song.

The Lions already got their World Cup campaign off to a poor start after a 1-0 loss to Switzerland in the first group game, and now they have to face the rest of the campaign without their star goalkeeper.

The reason is still under speculation, but reports suggest that Onana and Song got into a heated argument about employing a more traditional style of goalkeeping in Cameroon, rather than the sweeper-keeper style that Onana is used to.

With Onana refusing to switch his playing style to suit Song's tactics, the pair did not see eye-to-eye abd Onana has been axed from the squad.

Onana will now be replaced in goal by Devis Epassy who plays for Abha in Saudi Arabia.
