Ryan Mason, the temporary manager of Tottenham, will continue to work for the club as a member of Ange Postecoglou's coaching staff.

After Antonio Conte's dismissal and his assistant Cristian Stellini was fired a month later, the former Spurs midfielder Mason took over the first team at the end of the previous campaign.

After the season, the Englishman was not sure about what the future holds for him at Tottenham following the appointment of Postecoglou

Mason has had interest from clubs willing to hand him his first managerial role but following talks with the new head coach is due to remain at the club as part of the new-look senior coaching team.

Mason set for Tottenham stay

Ryan Mason is set to remain with Tottenham after managing the team through the remainder of last season.

The 31-year-old was called upon after the exit of Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini to take charge of the Tottenham team.

According to Daily Mail, he has discussed his future with new manager Ange Postecoglou and he has been asked to join his coaching staff ahead of the new season.

At the start of preseason, Postecoglou also wants to add Celtic coaches John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan to his squad.

The new head coach of Tottenham wants his trusty assistants to move to north London. Kennedy and Strachan worked under the Australian at Parkhead.

Tottenham are also looking to bring in other backroom staff to join the current recruits as they look to start the new season on a good note

Tottenham move in for Maddison

James Maddison of Leicester, an offensive midfielder, has emerged as a target as Tottenham and Postecoglou focus on finalising the team's hiring strategy.

With the Foxes' relegation, England international Maddison is expected to leave the King Power Stadium this summer.

Newcastle are also said to be in contention for the signature of the midfielder but his price tag has been a stumbling block.

Tottenham are also looking to bring in a goalkeeper with Hugo Lloris set to leave the club and are close to agreeing a deal for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
