Junior Stars will be facing Uganda in a winner-takes-all contest at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu. Can they deliver the trophy?
The Kenya national U18 side Junior Stars will be taking part in the final of the ongoing CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship in Kisumu against ‘Migingo’ Derby rivals Uganda on Friday afternoon.
Junior Stars enjoyed a comfortable group stage campaign, brushing aside the likes of Sudan, Somalia, and Rwanda, scoring 10 goals in the process.
However, they found life more difficult on Tuesday against Tanzania, who forced them to a 0-0 draw over 120 minutes, before Ibrahim Wanzala’s penalty heroics booked them a ticket into the final against Uganda.
