The injury came at a particularly unfortunate time, as the striker was coming off an impressive season where he had netted 11 goals and provided 2 assists in 30 appearances for the French club.

The severity of the injury resulted in Moffi missing 37 consecutive games for Nice, spanning 240 days. During this time, he underwent surgery and an extensive rehabilitation program to regain his fitness.
Upon his return, Moffi was introduced as a late substitute, playing the final eight minutes of the match against Monaco.

Pulse Sports Nigeria noted a visible change in his appearance, with the striker sporting a full beard, likely grown during his extended time away from the pitch.
