The Blues have opted to move quickly to secure the services of the World Cup finalist following injury to Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea have reached an agreement in principle with Monaco for the signing of Axel Disasi.
This is according to transfer guru David Ornstein, who says that the west London club have agreed a deal for the French international defender worth in the region of €45million (£38m).The 25-year-old will provide Chelsea with an option as a right-sided centre-back.
