Premier League: Ipswich Town vs. Chelsea prediction, head-to-head, team news, possible line-ups, and betting tips
Hurting from the West London Derby loss, Chelsea will make the trip to Ipswich, hoping to bounce back in style. Here are predictions, team news, betting tips, and possible line-ups for the game.
As it happened
Club captain Sam Morsy returned from suspension to start for Ipswich as Kieran McKenna made four changes after the defeat at Arsenal.
Chelsea, meanwhile, made five changes as Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Axel Disasi and Filip Jorgensen all started.
A perfect start for Ipswich against Chelsea as they broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with a Liam Delap penalty.
However, Chelsea responded minutes later with Joao Felix equalising but was ruled out for offside. Ipswich held on to their lead until the halftime whistle.
In the second half, Chelsea could not contain the home side and doubled their lead to hurt the Blues.
Axel Disasi gave the ball away carelessly and Liam Delap drove into the area and found Omari Hutchinson, who picked his spot and finished calmly into the bottom corner.
Ipswich held on until the referee blew the whistle for full-time, with Chelsea ending the year with a loss.
