Conor Gallagher starred for Chelsea once again as they beat local rivals Tottenham in the Premier League
Chelsea academy graduate Conor Gallagher has emerged as a silver lining in the Blues’ otherwise disappointing season with his performances against the Premier League’s big six.
Gallagher’s latest stellar big-game performance
Ahead of Chelsea's London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, the home fans displayed a giant banner at Stamford Bridge featuring Conor Gallagher and the message "Chelsea since birth."
During the intense clash against Tottenham Hotspur, Gallagher wasted no time in repaying the fans’ faith in him. In the 24th minute, he delivered a pinpoint free-kick for Trevoh Chalobah to head home, setting Chelsea on the path to a crucial 2-0 victory over their fierce rivals.
Gallagher's stellar performance against Tottenham, coupled with his consistent displays throughout the season, sends a clear message to Chelsea's owners: he is indispensable to the team's success. Despite speculation surrounding his future at the club, Gallagher's contributions on the field speak volumes, urging the club hierarchy to reconsider any plans of selling him.
Gallagher becoming a big game player
The Chelsea star has proven to be a standout performer when it comes to creating opportunities against the Premier League's 'Big Six'. Throughout the current season, no player has provided more assists against the league’s top clubs than Gallagher’s four.
He has contributed with an assist against Arsenal at home, one each against Tottenham both home and away, as well as another against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Notably, three of these assists were achieved at Stamford Bridge.
