Gianfranco Zola is excited by Chelsea's start to the season and has singled out one player for extra praise.
Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has praised Blues' superstar, Cole Palmer, hailing the attacking midfielder's incredible impact since arriving from Manchester City.
Palmer scored 25 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 appearances last season, and six goals and five assists in nine games this term, as his stock continues to rise.
"I'm very impressed with Palmer because he's doing amazing things and has been doing them for more than a season now," Zola told the BBC.
"He's probably one of the players that has surprised me the most. I could see straight away that he had qualities, but I didn't see all of this coming," Zola admitted.
Zola is particularly enthralled by Palmer's creative flair and ability to entertain.
"He has the ability to entertain. He always produces good passes and very good assists."
"What I love about him is when he receives the ball, he is always looking up, and many times he has the pass in mind before he receives the ball. This is a quality only the really big players have. I'm impressed."
Chelsea are back in Premier League action this weekend against Liverpool at Anfield and Palmer will once again, be expected to carry the Blues' creative burden.
