Lampard names his difficult goalkeepers
In 2015, while playing for New York City FC in the Major League Soccer (MLS), Lampard was questioned about the most difficult goalkeepers he had ever encountered.
Petr Cech and Joe Hart, the Toughest Goalkeepers
Lampard has picked Joe Hart and Petr Cech as the two best goalkeepers he faced in his football career.
Both players are among the best to have ever played in England and were once Lampard's teammates. Together, they recorded 329 clean sheets and won six Premier League titles.
According to GivemeSports, Lampard said, "I've played against Harty and stuck a few past him over the years, but I've been fortunate enough to train with him for a year at Manchester City and realised how good a goalkeeper he is. We were very fortunate to have him and for England.”
Lampard had the same thing to say about Cech, whom he knew better than most while he was at Chelsea.
He continued, "Petr Cech, on the same note, is a fantastic goalkeeper. Two brilliant pros and I've got complete respect for both of them.”
Cech will be remembered as the goalkeeper who set a Premier League record that might never be surpassed in the 2004–05 season by conceding just 15 goals.
