Enzo Maresca will welcome back some key players to the Chelsea squad ahead of this weekend's Premier League game against Leicester City.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has received a significant squad boost ahead of the return of domestic football this weekend.
Key players Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, and Jadon Sancho rejoined the first-team training session on Monday, bolstering their options ahead of their trip to the King Power on Saturday.
The Blues have made an impressive start under Maresca, sitting third in the Premier League table.
However, after the 1-1 draw with Arsenal 10 days ago, there were a number of injury concerns.
Malo Gusto and Romeo Lavia picked up knocks, forcing them out of national team duties, while Palmer and Colwill withdrew from the England camp.
Wesley Fofana also skipped international duty with France due to knee problems.
Fortunately for Maresca, Palmer and Colwill returned to training on Monday, alongside Sancho, who has missed Chelsea's last six games.
Chelsea will undoubtedly aim to continue their strong start to the season, and a win against Leicester could see them move even closer to the top of the table, provided the likes of Manchester City and/or Liverpool drop points.
