Nigerians have reacted to the former president's hattrick in his secondary school's novelty match.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo scored a hat trick during in a novelty match between the old students of Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta and former teachers of the school.
Obasanjo led the football team of the school, and he was the star attraction for spectators during the game.
He was a former student of the school, and his hat trick were the only goals recorded in the game, which ended 3-0 in favor of his side.
Notable old students in the game include Bukola Olopade, a former Sports Commissioner in Ogun State; and Hakeem Akintunde, who is the Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in the state.
Obasanjo is 85-year-old
Obasanjo was born on March 5, 1937, and was a military leader who served as Nigeria's head of state from 1976 to 1979 before he was democratically elected as president from 1999 to 2007.
He was born in the village of Ibogun-Olaogun to a farming family of the Owu branch of Yoruba and attended Baptist Boys High School for his secondary school education.
