Mauricio Pochettino is expected to welcome his first Chelsea signing of the summer in a few days as the task of turning the club around begins.
Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig next week, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues agreed a deal for Nkunku last year with a view to the French attacker joining the club this summer.
Nkunku close to Chelsea announcement
There has been plenty of silence regarding the transfer in recent weeks which led to some speculation that things may have changed. However, Romano took to twitter to assure fans that the deal was still happening and both parties had an announcement date set.
After Nkunku's announcement, Chelsea will focus on recruiting a top midfielder to play alongside Enzo Fernandez, believed to be Brighton star, Moises Caicedo.
