Nnadozie against Real Madrid
The 22-year-old proved to be the key difference between Paris and Real Madrid after another stunning performance.
Paris FC registered their first points in the UWCL and had their world-class Nigerian goalkeeper to thank for the memorable victory.
Goals from Julie Dufour and Gaetane Thiney handed Paris a shock 2-0 lead following a blistering start to the clash at Stade Robert-Bobin.
However, the Spanish giants were given a lifeline in the second half when the referee awarded a penalty following a foul.
But Super Falcons’ Nnadozie showed why she was recently crowned the African Goalkeeper of the Year as she stepped up to stop the resultant kick from World Cup winner, Olga Carmona to help preserve the lead.
Los Blancos later pulled a goal back in the second half through Caroline Moller, but Paris held on for the impressive victory.
Super Falcons goalkeeper reacts
Following the win, Nnadozie provided an insight into her performance and the team’s win.
According to posts across her social media accounts, the talented goalkeeper referenced the mental fortitude needed to face a formidable side like Madrid.
“Big night, big mentality,” Nnadozie noted on her Instagram story. “Big win in the Champions League tonight.”
On her X.com account, the Falcon also thanked the fans for their support.
“What a Champions League night,” she added. “An important win at home, great fight from the whole team. To our amazing fans, thank you so much.”
