Rupia has scored 21 league goals this season, just four behind Benson Omala who leads the charts on 25 goals.
Kenya Police head coach, Francis Baraza has challenged Elvis “Machapo” Rupia to be more decisive and precise in front of goal if he is to stand a chance of catching up with Benson Omala in contention for the golden boot this season.
Although Rupia has scored 21 goals this season, just four behind leading goalscorer, Benson Omala, he has struggled to be consistent in the last two months, even getting dropped to the bench as a result of this for new signing Derrick Otanga.

After netting a brace against Bido United last week, the Law Enforcers faithful were expecting him to follow suit against FC Talanta, but despite the fact chances were created in particular by left winger, Duke Abuya and right back, Baraka Badi, they struggled to find the back of the net.
“ Our finishing let us down today (against Talanta) and the same same finishing has been a part of all our games this season,” he said, “as a coach, maybe it is fatigue from the players, but I still cannot understand,” he added.
“A Lot of balls are being whipped into the box but we are not taking chances, the likes of Kahata (Francis), Miheso (Clifton) and Machapo are profligate, but I will keep pushing them and giving them the motivation they need to do well and they can still score.

FKFPL Kenya Police coach Baraza slams profligate attack in Talanta stalemate
The tactician's side fielded Elvis Rupia and even subbed on Derrick Otanga but none of the two could take their chances as Talanta held the Law Enforcers to a 0-0 draw.
The tactician, who won the league title with the now defunct Sony Sugar in 2006, insisted that he will take it as a personal responsibility to push Rupia into trying to win the golden boot.
“Machapo is contending for the golden boot. We will have to push him to get the best out of him.”
Police are fifth in the league standings on 50 points. They have found the back of the net 43 times, with Rupia’s 21 goals effectively meaning that he has scored 48% of the club’s league goals.
