Kapen is set to put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option of a third with Gor Mahia anytime within the week.
Nairobi City Stars’ flying winger Samuel Kapen is set to be the fourth signing unveiled by Gor Mahia later this week as they set sights on beefing up their squad in time to be competitive for next season’s CAF Champions League campaign next season.
Pulse Sports can authoritatively confirm that the winger, who scored seven goals and registered nine assists in a real breakthrough season for the Simba Wa Nairobi, will put pen to paper on a two year contract with the option of an extension for a further year.
This finally puts to rest the never-ending rumors that had been linking the former Kibera Black Stars man to the club for much of the just concluded season.

Gor Mahia’s new Brazilian coach Leonardo Martins Neiva reveals his blueprint
Gor Mahia’s new Brazilian coach Leonardo Martins Neiva has shared what his philosophy will look like after taking over the K’Ogalo hot seat.
“We shall be signing with Gor Mahia this week. He would be a solid addition to the side as both a right winger and left winger,” his agent Chris Ochieng affirmed to Pulse Sports.
He was close to joining the club last January, but none of the parties could agree terms to bring him to the side, with the then Johnathan McKinstry-coached outfit opting to pursue Sharrif Musa instead.
Gor have so far completed the signings of Ugandan midfielder Chris Pius Akena and Congolese striker Dedeo Bendeka.

COSAFA Cup: Six things learnt from Kenya's dominating display over Zimbabwe

Kapen failed to live up to the expectations, in his first season in the top flight, with Posta Rangers in 2021 and had to return to National Super League (NSL) side Kibera Black Stars.
