Real Madrid take crucial advantage into the second-leg of their secon-leg clash against Real Sociedad thanks to an Endrick goal.

Endrick's 19th-minute strike was the solitary goal in the stiffly contested Copa Del Rey semi-final first-leg clash between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, leaving the tie open to a dramatic second-leg.

Carlo Ancelotti made slight changes to his main lineup, handing the young Brazilian a rare start in place of Kylian Mbappe. The 18-year-old took maximum opportunity, scoring a Bellingham assist to help Los Blancos leave the Reale Arena with a point.

Key match details

Real Sociedad had a bright opening but failed to find the back of the net, and Los Blancos punished them with a trademark counter-attack. Jude Bellingham's pinpoint long pass found Endrick, who expertly controlled the ball before unleashing a precise, outside-of-the-boot shot that Alex Remiro couldn't keep out.

Sociedad refused to back down, but Lunin denied Brais Mendez and Mikel Oyarzabal in quick succession. Madrid's counter-attacking threat remained potent, and they came close to doubling their lead when Vinicius  was thwarted by a stunning Remiro save.

The second half saw chances at both ends, with Oyarzabal's header smothered by Lunin and Endrick rattling the Sociedad crossbar.  Remiro's exceptional reflexes preserved Sociedad's slim deficit in the final 10 minutes, as he adjusted brilliantly to deny Bellingham's deflected shot.

Real Madrid clinched the victory; however, there is still so much to do when the second leg comes around on April 1st at Santiago Bernabeu.
