The Blaugrana will play Atletico Madrid in the semi-final of the cup. The first of the two-legged tie will take place at Montjuic on Tuesday, February 25th.
Atletico get the advantage of hosting the second leg. The Wanda Metropolitano will play host to Barcelona for the clash on Wednesday, April 2nd.
Barcelona have dominated this tie historically. According to Optajose, the Catalans have won six of the last eight Copa Del Rey semi-final clashes against the Madrid-based opponent. They have also won each of the last three.
The second semi-final clash will see Real Madrid square up against Imanol Alguacil’s Real Sociedad.
La Reale have an interesting record against Los Blancos in this clash. According to Optajose, the Basque side are the only team to have scored four goals against Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabeu. Interestingly, they did it twice. First a 4-0 victory in 1988 and 3-4 in 2020.
