Newly invited player Gabriel Adedayo Osho has stated that the calibre of potential in the current senior Nigerian football squad has astounded him.
The 26-year-old joined French Ligue 1 team AJ Auxerre after Luton Town was relegated from the English top division.
Since his move, he has been a standout player for L'AJA this season, featuring in all nine games to help them finish ninth in the French standings.
His performance has earned him another Super Eagles call-up after missing the opportunity to make his debut in March 2024.

Osho speaks on Super Eagles squad
Osho has claimed that he is surprised by the team's talent after joining the Nigerian national team for the AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking in an interview with the NFF Media, he said, “All you have to do is look at the frontline; you see the names of all the players that are here and the ones who could not be selected for the squad the is time, the country is full of talented players.
“So it’s very competitive to get a call-up, and like I said, it’s a great honour for me because I know there are so many great players from Nigeria that aren’t here.”
Gabriel Osho is the latest addition to Nigeria's Super Eagles and has been warmly welcomed by fans and the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
He will be looking to make his international debut as the Super Eagles prepare to face Rwanda and the Benin Republic.
