Nigeria's women's cricket team, the Female Yellow Greens, bounced back in a big way after a disappointing opening loss to Uganda as they thrashed Cameroon by a convincing nine wickets in the Kwibuka Women's T20i tournament in Rwanda.

Cameroon, who chose to bat first, were completely shut down by the Nigerian bowling attack. They were dismissed for a meagre 26 runs in just 18.2 overs.

The show's star was 17-year-old Lilian Ude, who delivered a spectacular spell with four wickets for only seven runs in her four overs, including two maidens.

Peculiar Agboya also impressed, conceding just six runs and taking two wickets in her four overs. The rest of the Nigerian bowling unit chipped in with a wicket apiece, ensuring no partnerships could blossom for Cameroon.

Nigeria Secures Easy Win with Strong Batting Display

Chasing a small target of 27 runs, Nigeria's openers, Favour Eseigbe and Esther Sandy, set the tone for a comfortable win.

Captain Eseigbe remained unbeaten with 11 runs off 12 balls, while Sandy added 14 runs off 10 balls before being dismissed.

Piety Lucky joined Eseigbe at the crease, and they quickly finished off the remaining runs in just 3.5 overs, securing a dominant victory for the Female Yellow Greens.

Ude Named Player of the Match

Lilian Ude's exceptional bowling performance was rightfully recognized as she was named Player of the Match. Her demolition of the Cameroonian batting lineup laid the foundation for Nigeria's comprehensive win.
