Ronaldo continues breaking international records after reaching another milestone with Portugal in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier against Iceland
Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo has written another chapter in football history after reaching another incredible milestone with the Portugal national team in their fixture against Iceland.
Ronaldo reaches international milestone
Ronaldo, who is already the top goalscorer in men’s international football with 122 goals for the Portugal national team, has added another feather to his cap with the Selecao.
Ronaldo captained Portugal in their UEFA European Championships qualifier against Iceland in what was his 200th international appearance, making him the first men’s player in international football history to reach the milestone.
The Al-Hilal forward has kept his place in the national team despite moving to the Saudi Arabian league and could still be part of the Portugal team for Euro 2024, where he will be 39 years old.
Ronaldo continues incredible international record
The now-38-year-old forward debuted for Portugal in an international friendly against Kazakhstan, where he played one half while being only 18 years old.

Ronaldo has gone on to become a legendary figure for the Portugal national team, and international football in general, breaking both goalscoring and appearance records in international football.
He also won the 2016 Euros with Portugal, the first major trophy in the country’s history, as well as the UEFA Nations League trophy soon after.
