What Ronaldo said
Despite his impressive form for Al-Nassr, questions remain about Ronaldo's role within the Portugal team. However, he insists that he is willing to sacrifice his starting position if it benefits the team.

Ronaldo emphasised that he would defend the national team colours regardless of his playing time.
He acknowledged that not every game can be successful and that the team must remain united.
"If I don't score and someone else scores, it's all the same to me," Ronaldo told the media. "If Portugal has to win and I don't play, I'll sign my name right now, tell the coach and I won't play. I'll defend these colours until the death.
"We can't always play well, things don't work out sometimes. I've played 50 thousand bad games, and so have my teammates. All of that is part of it, the past is the past, it's about uniting the troops and being positive."

Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire, but he is expected to extend his stay.
He also plans to represent Portugal at the 2026 World Cup, should they qualify, even if he is not a guaranteed starter.
