Cristiano Ronaldo will receive a special ward from UEFA for scoring the most goals in Champions League history, during the group stage draws on Thursday.

Al Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be honored by UEFA for scoring the most goals in Champions League history, an astonishing 140 goals in 183 games.

Ronaldo's impressive journey began with Portuguese side Sporting in 2002, before moving on to Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

The 39-year-old will receive the award at the Champions League league phase draw ceremony in Monaco on Thursday.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin praised Ronaldo, saying:

"Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the brightest stars in the UEFA Champions League constellation. His extraordinary goal-scoring achievements in the competition seem destined to stand the test of time, posing a remarkable challenge for future generations to surpass."

Ronaldo's first Champions League goal came in 2007, his first step towards lifting the trophy five times: once with Manchester United in 2008 and four times with Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

He also holds the record for most final goals in the Champions League era with four.

Ronaldo's achievements are truly remarkable, and it will be interesting to see if anyone can surpass his records in the future.
