The Portuguese superstar has opened up on the challenges of competing in the Saudi Pro League while expressing his commitment to Al-Nassr as he continues his quest for major honours with the club.

Since making the high-profile move to Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has been a consistent performer for Al-Nassr, but trophies have eluded the iconic forward so far.

With growing rumours that he could be heading for a new challenge, the former Real Madrid star has reiterated his commitment to helping Al-Nassr to win titles.

"We Are Still Pushing and Fighting"

Reflecting on the competitive landscape, particularly against heavyweights like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo told the league’s official media channels:

"It’s hard to compete with teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, but we are still there, still pushing and fighting. Football is like that; you have good moments and bad moments. But, for me, the most important thing is to be professional, to push hard, respect the club, respect your contract and believe that things will change – for Al Nassr to try to win more titles."

Ronaldo acknowledged the strength of the opposition but remains optimistic about Al-Nassr’s ability to turn things around and end their wait for silverware.

Ronaldo is happy in Saudi

Despite ongoing speculation about a potential return to Europe, Ronaldo has no immediate plans to leave the Saudi Pro League as he approaches his 40th birthday on February 5. Speaking on his current experience so far, he said:

"I’m happy, and my family is happy. We started a new life in this beautiful country. Life is good; football is good. In terms of individual and collective, we are still there. We are still improving."

With his legendary drive for success still intact, Ronaldo has set his sights on conquering the AFC Champions League and adding more trophies to his glittering resume as previously reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria.

"The [AFC] Champions League is something I want to win for the club. But the most important is to keep pushing and be professional," Ronaldo added, emphasising his determination to lead Al-Nassr to new heights.
