Cross River State has been selected as the host for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship. The second-tier competition will take place from August 31 to September 8, 2024, in Calabar.
Following the successful Premiership Super Six finals in Bayelsa State, where Edo Queens emerged victorious, the NWFL Championship is set to kick off.

The event will feature over 17 clubs divided into four groups. The competition format includes a group stage with six matchdays, followed by final matches to determine promotion and relegation.
