Hodgson to step down as Crystal Palace manager
According to the Guardian, club chairman, Steve Parish, accompanied Hodgson to the hospital, and it is expected that the club will confirm his departure soon.
Former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner has emerged as the preferred candidate for Parish.
The decision for a managerial change reportedly came after a series of poor results, with only four wins in the last 18 league games, dragging the club into a relegation battle.
