Dani Alves has reportedly been granted probation weeks after being a sentenced to jail for rape.
In a decision published this morning, judges have agreed to release Dani Alves on probation on €1 million euros (about R$5.4 million) bail, while the defense awaits its final sentence, as reported by Portal G1.
This development comes after the former Barcelona, PSG, and Juventus defender was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison for accusations of raping a 23-year-old lady at a Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on December 31, 2022.
Despite maintaining his innocence, the 40-year-old Brazilian defender spent over 365 days at Brians II prison, with his appeals for bail repeatedly denied by the prosecutors office.
