Rising Starlets Captain Jane Hato has returned to Mathare United Women FC, joining a unique family dynamic that promises an exciting soccer journey.

Kenya Women Under 20 football team's Rising Starlets captain Jane Hato has returned to her roots, rejoining FKF Women's Division One League side Mathare United Women FC.

This move comes on the heels of her completion of high school education, marking a significant chapter in her burgeoning soccer career.

What makes this story even more special is that her mother, Ann Aluoch, is the coach for Mathare Women FC, creating a dynamic duo that promises to rekindle the team's hopes of reclaiming their FKF Women's Premier League status.

Hato, who had been heavily linked with a move to Tanzania's Yanga Queens, made her commitment to Mathare Women FC official with an emotional unveiling

"Proudest moment of my life ... officially unveiled as the new addition to Mathare United Women team with my friend, coach, and mom by my side,"she wrote on her social media pages.

As the captain of the Rising Starlets, Hato played a pivotal role in the team's endeavors last year.

Although their hopes of qualifying Kenya for the 2024 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup were dashed by Cameroon, her leadership and skill on the field did not go unnoticed.

Joining Hato in this new chapter of her soccer journey is Matilda Muhonja, who makes her way to Mathare Women FC from Macmillan Football Club.

The addition of Muhonja and the return of Marline Wadunga, who took a break from football in 2019, bolster the team's roster and provide valuable experience.

In another intriguing development, Bunyore Starlets' winger Susan Muhonja, who has been recovering from a knee injury since the 2022/2023 FKF Women's Premier League season, is rumored to be considering a move to Madira Soccer Assassins.

If this transfer materializes, it could mark a significant turning point in her career and add depth to Madira Soccer Assassins' squad.

Meanwhile, Vihiga Queens are also actively seeking replacements for Barther Omata and Janet Moraa, who recently left the team to pursue opportunities abroad.
