Manchester United outcast David De Gea has finally completed a transfer move to Fiorentina on a free transfer.
De Gea has been out of a club for more than one year after failing to agree a contract extension with Man United.
More than 400 days have passed since his last competitive game, which was in the 2023 FA Cup final loss against Manchester City for the Red Devils.
However, the 33-year-old has committed to a one-year deal with Fiorentina, with the possibility of a second year.

David De Gea, the former Manchester United goalie, was in advanced negotiations with Genoa earlier this week.

Fiorentina have now officially announced the signing of Manchester United legend David De Gea after his transfer move to Genoa broke down.
The Italian side posted on their official X account with the caption, “Welcome to Florence, David 🧤💜⚜️.”
After missing 14 months of action, the former Manchester United goalie is finally back in the football league.
De Gea came to United from Atletico Madrid in 2011, and he played 545 games for the team in his twelve years there.
He became the highest goalie appearance maker throughout his tenure at the club and beat Peter Schmeichal's all-time United record for clean sheets.
During his tenure at Manchester United, the Spaniard won five major trophies: the FA Cup in 2016, the Europa League in 2017, and the Premier League title in 2013.
Additionally, the goalkeeper won several individual awards, including the Premier League Golden Glove in 2022–2023 and 2017–18.
De Gea will be looking forward to his first game in Serie A as Fiorentina faces Parma on August 17.
